Four Fall Favorites for West Michigan!
Posted: October 28, 2020
Fall has arrived in West Michigan! The leaves are changing color and reminding all of us of the natural beauty of Michigan. We have already seen some of our residents busy planning their fall activities and we wanted to recommend some of our own favorite activities to make the most of a West Michigan fall season:
Apple Orchard and Cider Mill
Fall isn’t fall without cider and donuts. Since 1911, Robinette’s has been one of the best places in the Grand Rapids area to grab a freshly powdered donut or hot apple cider. It doesn’t stop there, though. Robinette’s also has a winery on-site for those over the age of 21. Choose from an array of wines and ciders for only $8 a person - souvenir cup included! Visitors can also go apple picking or make an attempt at navigating the corn maze.
Be sure to get the best products when prepping your fall flavors! West Michigan holds farm markets in multiple locations, making a pit stop to grab the essentials a breeze. Whether you are a pro in the kitchen or you can barely crack an egg, fall is a great time to expand the palate and try some new recipes!
The Grand Rapids area has a fantastic selection of coffee shops to get your caffeine kick. Located in Grandville, Wildroast Coffee Co. has a delicious pumpkin spice latte to warm up to. The location is equally great with a comfortable rustic atmosphere that invites you to sit and enjoy your drink on a cold autumn day.
Yes you read that right. Lake Michigan is a great place to enjoy the pure beauty West Michigan provides. Listen to the waves roll in while you’re walking down the beach or local pier, all while enjoying the changing leaves from the lakeshore. Be sure to bundle up though, because even in fall it can be chilly!
Just because the weather is changing doesn’t mean adventures need to stop. Be sure to follow us on social media to find your new favorite fall activity!
