Additional 160 apartments planned for Grand Rapids-area housing development

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A New York-based real estate development firm has begun construction on the second phase of a mixed-income housing development at the site of the former Studio 28 property in Wyoming.

Magnus Capital Partners, led by Zeeland-native Vishal Arora, says the project’s second phase will bring an additional 160 apartments to the site. The project, which is expected to cost $27.4 million, is being funded in part through the state’s low-income housing tax credit program.
Work on the first phase of the project, known as HOM Flats at 28 West, started last fall.
